ghd Sculpt NZ: price, what it does, and is it worth it

ghd launched the Sculpt interactive styler in New Zealand at $629. It is the most expensive styler ghd has made, and the first one that changes what it is doing while you use it.

What "interactive" actually means

Every ghd before this one holds a fixed 185C. Sculpt uses Heat-Adapt: it reads the section of hair in the plates and adjusts in real time, section by section. Thicker section, more heat. Fine section, less. The claim is up to 90% more shine and 2.5x less frizz, without running the plates hotter.

Is it worth $629?

If you already own a ghd platinum+ or chronos, the honest answer is probably not yet - those are excellent stylers and Sculpt is an iteration, not a reinvention. If you are buying your first serious styler, or replacing something old, Sculpt is the best tool ghd currently makes.
