How do I choose the right conditioner?
Match it to your shampoo range first, because the pairs are designed to work together. Then think about your ends, not your roots. Kérastase Première Fondant suits damaged hair, Blond Absolu Cicaflash suits lightened blondes, Chroma Absolu Fondant Cica Chroma suits coloured hair and Curl Manifesto Fondant suits curls. If you're between two, choose the lighter one and add a mask once a week.

Do you stock a colour-depositing conditioner?
Yes, the evo Fabuloso Pro Custom Colour Conditioner deposits pigment to refresh colour between appointments. For blondes, Pureology Strength Cure Blonde Conditioner is a purple-toned conditioner that tones brass while it conditions. Both are top-ups, not a replacement for a gloss or toner in salon. What conditioner won't weigh down fine hair?
Kérastase Densifique Fondant Densité, Pureology Pure Volume Conditioner and Pureology Hydrate Sheer Conditioner are the light ones. Keep it to the mid-lengths and ends, never the roots, and rinse thoroughly. Fine hair often goes flat from too much conditioner rather than the wrong one. More in our Pure Volume review.

How long should I leave conditioner in?
A minute or two is enough for most conditioners. Squeeze the water out first so it doesn't dilute, comb it through with your fingers or a wide-tooth comb, then rinse. If your hair needs longer than that to feel soft, it's telling you it wants a mask once a week, not a longer conditioner soak.
