Which range is best for damaged hair?
It depends on the damage. Bleached or heavily lightened: L'Oréal Absolut Repair Molecular. Dry, rough ends from heat: L'Oréal Absolut Repair. Weak, breaking hair: Kérastase Résistance. Strength plus colour care: Pureology Strength Cure. If your ends feel gummy when wet, see us before buying anything; that usually needs an in-salon treatment and a trim first.

Is there a reconstructor shampoo for broken hair?
Kérastase Résistance Bain Force Architecte is the one we'd point to for weakened hair. Absolut Repair Molecular Shampoo and Pureology Strength Cure Shampoo are also built for damage. A shampoo alone won't rebuild hair, though. Pair it with a mask or Résistance Ciment Anti-Usure, and use Ciment Thermique before blow-drying. More in our Résistance guide.

Can damaged hair actually be repaired?
Partly. Good products make damaged hair stronger, smoother and less likely to snap, and you'll feel that within a few washes. But split ends don't fuse back together, and hair that's been over-processed for years won't be the same as new growth. Use the products and book regular trims. Read how to repair damaged ends.

What order do I use the Absolut Repair Molecular products in?
Shampoo, then the Rinse-Out Serum on wet lengths, then rinse and follow with the Molecular Mask. Once you're out, apply the Leave-In Cream to towel-dried hair and finish with a drop of Molecular Oil on the ends. You don't need every step every wash. We explain the range in how Molecular works.

Should I get a bond treatment in salon?
