Which Spécifique shampoo should I choose?
Bain Divalent is for roots that get oily fast while the lengths stay dry or sensitised, which is common with coloured hair. Bain Vital Dermo-Calm is for scalps that feel sensitive or easily irritated. A simple test: if your roots look greasy within a day, go Divalent. If your scalp feels tight or uncomfortable after washing, go Dermo-Calm.

How do I use Argile Équilibrante?
It's a clay treatment that goes on before you shampoo. Apply it to the scalp on damp hair, section by section, leave it for the time on the pack, then rinse and wash with Bain Divalent. Keep it to the roots, because clay can feel drying on lengths. Once a week suits most oily scalps. Our oily scalp guide has more.

Is there a Spécifique conditioner?
There isn't one in the Spécifique range we stock. For oily roots, that's fine: use a light conditioner on mid-lengths and ends only and keep it well away from the scalp. If your lengths are dry or coloured, a mask once a week through the ends does more good than conditioner at the roots ever would.

What's the difference between Spécifique and Symbiose?
Spécifique is for scalps that are oily or sensitive without flaking. Symbiose is Kérastase's dandruff range, for scalps with visible flakes. If your scalp is persistently itchy, red, sore or flaking and haircare isn't settling it, see your GP or a dermatologist so you know what you're dealing with.

Can I wash with Spécifique every day?
Yes. Kérastase made these shampoos for regular use, and with an oily scalp daily washing is often what keeps it comfortable. If your scalp is sensitive, try every second day and see how it feels.
