Questions we get asked +
Should I use Bain Chroma Respect or Bain Riche Chroma Respect?
Both are Chroma Absolu shampoos for coloured hair. Bain Chroma Respect is the lighter one, for fine to medium hair. Bain Riche Chroma Respect is creamier, for thicker or more sensitised hair. If your colour also gets blow-dried or straightened a lot, the Riche usually feels better on the lengths.
What order do I use the Chroma Absolu products in?
Shampoo, then Soin Acide Chroma Gloss if you're using it that wash, then Fondant Cica Chroma, or the Masque Chroma Filler once a week instead. On towel-dried hair, apply Serum Chroma Thermique before heat styling. Shampoo plus Fondant is the minimum; the gloss and mask are the extras. See our Chroma Absolu guide.
What does the Chroma Absolu Soin Acide Chroma Gloss do?
It's an acidic rinse-out treatment for shine. Use it after shampoo on wet lengths, leave it a few minutes, then rinse and condition. It's a good one for the weeks when your colour looks flat but isn't due for a salon gloss. Once a week is enough for most hair.
Is the Chroma Absolu serum a heat protector?
Yes. Serum Chroma Thermique is a leave-in heat protector for coloured hair. Apply it to towel-dried lengths before your blow-dry, wand or straightener. It also smooths the surface so colour looks shinier. Use it every time you use heat.
Is Chroma Absolu good for blondes?
It works on any coloured hair, including blonde, but it doesn't tone brass. If yellow is your issue, Blond Absolu is the Kérastase range for lightened hair. Plenty of our clients with highlights use Chroma Absolu day to day and a purple shampoo once a week.
