Questions we get asked +
How do I use the Curl Manifesto curl cream?
Crème de Jour Fondamentale goes on soaking-wet hair after conditioning. Rake or smooth it through in sections, then scrunch upwards and let your hair air-dry or diffuse on low heat. Don't touch it while it's drying. Once dry, scrunch out any crunch. Use less on loose waves and more on tight curls.
What's the Curl Manifesto shampoo and conditioner?
The shampoo is Bain Hydratation Douceur, a gentle cleanser for curls and waves. The conditioner is Fondant Hydratation Essentielle, which helps with detangling and softness. For extra moisture once a week, swap the conditioner for the Masque Beurre Haute Nutrition. Our curly and wavy hair guide compares other options.
Is Curl Manifesto too heavy for wavy hair?
It works on waves, but use less. Stick with the Fondant most washes and keep the mask for when your hair feels dry. A small amount of the Crème de Jour is enough. For lighter hold, our Curl Magnet edit pairs it with L'Oréal Tecni.ART Flex Waves.
How do I refresh curls between washes?
Mist Refresh Absolu over dry hair, then scrunch or twist any sections that have lost shape. It brings back definition and calms frizz without water. If sections have flattened, dampen them lightly first. Most of our curly clients use it every morning between washes.
How often should curly hair be washed?
Most curls do best with two or three washes a week, which keeps natural oils in the hair. Use the refresh spray on the days between. If your scalp gets oily quickly, wash more often and keep conditioner focused on the lengths. Our Curl Manifesto guide goes through the whole range.
